Poster Design

  1. Maybe make Taylor’s transparency a tiny bit less so we can see her clearer. Try to make Taylor Swift’s name at the top a little bit bigger. Everything works so well together. There are a few different fonts throughout but I think each one is appropriate.

  2. Really nice poster but I'm totally getting a horror/murder feel almost like it was a Halloween themed tour or something. I'm not sure if you were aiming for that or not haha everything is balanced really well though, good job

  3. I think the colors you uses work well together. Taylor's name could be a bit bigger and Taylor's picture could be a bit clearer.

  4. I like the concept, but it looks really masculine. I would try to make Taylor's name a little bit larger so that way it adds some femininity. I would also add some pink and play with the black text a little more. Other than that the design is awesome and makes me want to go to see Taylor Swift, that's a achievement my friend. Good job!

  5. nice poster design! i especially like the text you chose for it, very expressive! maybe taylor swift could've been a little less transparent in the center though.

  6. I like it. It makes Taylor Swift look kind of badass. Only negative thing is maybe that its a little difficult to see swift.

  7. I would make her name maybe a bit bigger, but it's not all that necessary because it's a pretty recognizable thing. It has an overall good composition. I like how she is a bit more faded into the red because it doesn't distract from the text. Maybe make the background a little darker to have the red stand out? It's not a big deal, this is a good piece. :)

  8. This turned out really good. The use of text and color was great choice. Maybe her name could be a bit bigger and Taylor herself could be clearer. I think maybe you could of gotten rid of some of the paint stains around it just a few so it doesn't look so stuffed. Other than that great job it looks just like a real poster for Taylor Swift's concert.

  9. This is a well balanced design. It can be hard to balance such a dominant central text, especially being such a vibrant color. Because of the scattered red and transparent red drops of paint throughout the design, the color moves around the composition very very subtly, but enough so that it is not too concentrated in the center. The transparent image of Taylor Swift also helps to break up the red, and provides a focal point within a focal point-something that can be difficult to pull off. The white paint splatters on top of that create an interesting push pull in areas that could be too solid or static within the letterforms. I think you managed the typography really well in this piece. You use several different typefaces, scales, and values of text, but they are orchestrated beautifully. Something that could be toyed with, although, it’s not a necessary thing, is to try a different background. It has the appearance of being on a cement wall in some ways, but it’s toned down. What if you used a photo of a real cement wall? That could just add another layer to this poster and make it more interesting as we navigate between the real and the digital.

  10. Your poster divides up the space well. The text is very strong as well. I'm wondering if more splotches would be a good thing or not. Also I'm not overly familiar with Taylor Swift's music, so I'm not sure how much this represents her music or if it really needs to.

  11. Considering I sit next to you, I pretty much saw most of the steps you took to make this poster, and if I can put aside my burning hatred for Taylor Swift long enough to say this poster looks really cool, you know you did good. Only constructive criticism would be to remove her face from this poster because she's just awful. But seriously, everything looks nice. Some splatter effect on the word "Tour" would look cool.

  12. This poster is flawless. I would only suggest to make Taylor's face a tiny bit clearer.

  14. Nice job. It really looks like a promotion poster for her Tour. Good use of blood spats.

  15. Only criticism, Taylor Swift's name needs to be more visible. The black is in the way a bit, but not in a tedious way. Other than that, this poster is amazing. The style, and the way taylor is put in the text is incredible.
